  11. I recently acquired a Motorola Power 28.8 and am pleased with the
  12. acquisiton. The documentation seems to be a bit on the sparse side though.
  13. For example, the only mention of it having flash ROM was on the box,
  14. and the subject isn't in the index.  Anyhow, back to the problem at
  15. hand. Basically, the modem seems to take forever to return a busy
  16. code. On my previous modem, as soon as the first busy signal was
  17. heard the modem would disconnect and return a busy status. I'd like to
  18. set the 28.8 to do the same thing. There seems to be some
  19. relationship between the S7 register and how long the modem will wait
  20. for a connection to complete. I am hoping that there is a way to
  21. shorten the time it takes to report BUSY while not affecting the
  22. amount of time the modem has to make a connection. (Some of the places
  23. I call take a while to answer the phone and then establish the
  24. connections.) I am running the Rev 4 software. So, if anyone has any 
  25. pointers on this that would be appreciated.
